Assistant General Counsel, Bankruptcy
Kinney Recruiting has been retained on an exclusive in-house search for an Assistant General Counsel, Bankruptcy, for a financial institution's New York, NY, and Northern Virginia offices. We are seeing an attorney with five (5) or more years of experience working on complex bankruptcy litigation and/or creditors' rights. The legal team is comprised of former biglaw attorneys who wanted a change from law firm life. The position is a hybrid position requiring attorneys to work at least three days a week in the company’s offices located in New York, New York or Northern Virginia. Admission to the New York bar (or eligibility to waive-in to the New York bar) is required.
Assistant General Counsels are responsible for managing complex litigation and judgment enforcement matters arising from bankruptcies initiated by individuals or businesses, contract disputes, and other matters. Non-litigation responsibilities include advising the company on commercial matters.
The company offers a generous total compensation package. A good faith estimate of the base salary range is $180,000 to $195,000, which does not include quarterly and year-end bonuses.
